You can take the
local bus from town
to get there but
I strongly recommend a
jeep alike vehicle
if you carry stuff
or even a
motorcycle.
It is the windsurfers'
paradise in
Mykonos.
Waves, speedy
winds, a
jeep, and that's
it.
No one is there except
windsurfing
athletes or
hobbyists.
Windsurfs and
nice suits decorate
the sea.
Athletes from all
over the world are
here to compete
each other and try hard
their skills.
You can also find and
hire scuba diving
equipment.
If you didn't bring your
board you can
still rent a board.
An other option is to
start lessons
with a teacher.
You can have also
a jet ski if you
like or rent a
bicycle.
There are several
taverns and a
restaurant with the
name
"thalassa" (sea).
It serves nice seafood
and Greek cuisine
along with a great view
of Kalafatis beach.
If you like small
trips you can get a
small boat that goes to
Dragonisi, an
islet that has many
caves.
It's been said that
there lives the rare
monk seal
and if you are lucky you
might see one.
You can find rooms,
studios, hotels
and apartments
near the beach of
Kalafatis and on the
road.
